251026 Romans #5 (chapter 3)

Paul takes one more stab at letting the Jews understand that they stand condemned before God just like everyone else. Then... Romans 3:21 explodes with a BUT NOW! Paul focuses on God's love and mercy while providing acquittal if one trusts Jesus as their savior. Great news comes out of the bad news found in Romans 1-3. So we stand before God condemned BUT NOW can be forgiven by putting our faith in Christ's shed blood on the cross! Pastor Rick spoke this message at CrossPoint church.

Spiritual Conflict 251019

8 people were baptized today. 8 people told everyone about their faith in Jesus.  The enemy will now focus on 8 people more. The enemy always tries to discourage and derail anyone who walks with God. Yes, the enemy is formidable, not invincible.  So put on the armor and use the weapons that God has given each and every believer. The Apostle Paul boldly proclaimed that both the Jews who had the Scriptures and those who only had their moral compasses would be held accountable and judged.  Paul clearly proves that all of mankind needs to be rescued from God's wrath and the debt of their sin. God is Holy, Just and Loving. Because God is holy and just... His wrath is being unleashed against all sin and wickedness, but because God is love, He says He will take the punishment. Thank you Jesus for being our savior and restoring our relationship with God.

God’s love, mercy, justice, power, kindness and grace has captured Paul. He is overwhelmed by God's grace. Life is hard for the church in Rome, so he wants to encourage the believers there. Romans is Paul's magnum opus where he identifies our essential beliefs & our mission.

The Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus gave His disciples their marching orders right before He ascended into heaven... Make disciples and teach them to obey all the commands I have given you. Jesus even promised to be with them during their mission. The disciples listened and the church was born. We still have the same directive and promise. The Great Commandment Matthew 22:36-40 250817

Jesus told us that the greatest commandment was to Love God and love others. In fact He said that every commandment in the Scriptures is based on these two commands. Loving God is listening to God and when we listen to God we can love others well. Pastor Rick taught The Great Commandment at CrossPoint Church.

Jesus saw that the crowds were tired, weary and burdened.  Jesus invited the throngs to a relationship with Him and to be yoked up with Him on their journeys. Jesus is asking us to do life with Him. To do your journey with the smartest, strongest and wisest leader. Truly this is the great invitation!
